Of all the services we provide, without fail the most challenging times arise when we are called upon to facilitate an associate buy-in or buy-out. The associate and owner very often form a profound friendship during years of side-by-side service. The prospect of negatively affecting that friendship through the negotiation of a complex financial transaction is deep and real. Though much less prevalent, on occasion, the inverse can be true. Years of working closely with one another has caused a rift in the relationship between owner and associate. When this occurs, emotions often get the better of judgement and stand in the way of a successful financial transaction. Our experience has taught us the proper way to handle both of these scenarios and we are acutely aware of the sensitivities involved in these types of endeavors. We have a proven track record of helping maintain long standing friendships and avoiding conflict that can jeopardize the financial best interests of both parties.
